Bad Boys too good in BiG tourney

- Nimrod NL Quiñones -

They are the Bad Boys, but they are good golfers.

Team Bad Boys-4 bagged the title in the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI)-PLDT 15th Business in Golf Tournament Tuesday at the Cebu Country Club.

Max Borromeo of Ford however led the cast of individual winners as he bagged the coveted Golfer of the Year award for members of the CCCI or the registered company representative or alternate to score the most points.

Bad Boys-4 was led by Jacinto Limyutian who scored 46 points in the Modified Stableford Scoring System.  His teammates were Eddie Yap with 39, James Tan with 39, and Alex Garcia with 35.

The tournament was a four-man team event with all four players counting for the team total.

Limyutian also bagged the award for most points with his ten-under-par performance.

First runner-up honors went to Sun Star with 156 points.  The team members were Jonji Chiongbian with 43, Frederic Chiongbian with 41, Raymond Alvin Garcia with 38 and Jay-jay Neri with 34.

PLDT-2 finished as second runner-up with 151 points.  The team members were Joel Mari Yu with 40, Nestor Mendoza 38, Eking Jereza 37, and Nolan Rada with 36.

Special prizes were given to Butch Macachor for the most accurate drive on hole no. 1, George Hong for nearest the pin on the 5th, and Paolo Borromeo for longest drive on the 8th.

Around 50 teams took part in the 18-hole event chaired by David Chan as part of the annual Cebu Business Month celebration.

The awards ceremony of the tournament was held Tuesday night at Teatro Casino inside Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.
