Biggest Shakey's Branch in VisMin

There's nothing like returning to one of the places we grew up with, and seeing that it has grown to become bigger and better. After 40 years of making pizza in the country, Shakey's continues to celebrate good times and great memories as it opens its biggest branch in the southern region right in the heart of Cebu.

 Shakey's F. Cabahug is the sixth store in the province with a floor area of 450 square meters, and a capacity to seat up to 52 tables or a total of 140 persons. It also has spacious parking of 21 slots and a bigger function room for corporation functions, family gatherings and birthday parties with three birthday party themes - Looney Tunes, Hot Wheels and Barbie- to choose from.

 "The Cebuanos have been eating at Shakey's for more than three decades, but what makes this branch special is that it is about the overall experience. Aside from a more spacious dining area and function room, it has a full service bar area where big sports events and the like will be broadcast, so our Guests can enjoy their favorite games over good pizza," shared Allen Arvin A. Tan, president and managing director of Gryffinhouse Inc., exclusive franchisee of Shakey's in Cebu City.

 President and CEO Vicente L. Gregorio of International Family Food Service Inc. (IFSSI), the company behind Shakey's Philippines, shares the reason for putting up a stand-alone store. "People are more discerning when it comes to dining. With stiffer competition, we continue to find better ways to serve our Guests. A stand-alone store with spacious and homey interiors provides that experience," he added.

Mrs. Mariquita Salimbangon Yeung, Founding Chairman of the Mariquita Salimbangon Yeung Charitable Foundation, Inc. (MSYCFI) cuts the ribbon to inaugurate two classrooms at the Rosalino L. Arreglado Elementary in Mahawak, Medellin, Cebu. The classrooms were actually blown away during super typhoon Yolanda. The classrooms were then rebuilt with the financial assistance of MSYCFI and friends. Assisting Mrs. Yeung during the inauguration was Medellin Municipal Mayor Ricky Ramirez and Mr. Cesar Y. Braniola, school principal.
