One sunny afternoon, a group of media people was invited to a merienda cena at the Session Hall of the Mandaue City Hall hosted by Mandaue City Fiesta 2008 executive committee regarding the launching of the annual fiest celebration in May 2008.
The contest rules and guidelines were given out for the Miss Mandaue 2008: The Miss Mandaue City 2008 is the search for a young woman who will serve as an ambassadress of goodwill and represent the people and city of Mandaue in various functions and gatherings. She must have charm, beauty, grace and personality to be able to establish good public relations and promote the city effectively. This year, the executive committee is composed of Mayor Jonas Cortes, honorary chairman; Vice Mayor Carlo Pontico Fortuna, honorary vice chairman; Atty. Briccio Joseph C. Boholst, executive chairperson; Dr. Susan Cabahug, executive co-chairperson; Louella Cabañero, executive vice-chairperson; Josefina Perez, secretary; Alejandro Ceniza, treasurer; Lamberto Marababol, auditor; Atty. Hidelito Pascual, public information officer; and Atty. Omar Redula, Atty. Eliseo Ceniza Jr, Atty. Eustiquio Sanchez Jr, Atty. Ernesto Maringuran, legal counsels.
