Up Close & Personal Chris Rudyard Naval

CEBU, Philippines - Education is important in our lives. People can take all the riches from you but your education will remain forever. And Chris Rudyard Naval strongly believes that it is indeed an important component in life. In fact, he averred that his greatest achievement in life is when he finished his studies.

“Finishing my studies will really make my parents proud and happy,” Chris said. He explained further that when he was a student he always made it a point not to disappoint his parents. So when he finally graduated, he was the happiest son. Chris is an Accounting graduate in University of San Carlos-Main and is currently taking up his Masters degree in Management Accounting.

Chris currently works as a Project Coordinator and a Financial Analyst. He also works as a full-time model in a modeling agency. Although he admitted that his modeling career comes late, 20-year-old Chris never regretted it because he believes that everything happens for a reason. Chris once joined Hari ng Paknaan and Mr. Commerce in USC where he developed his self-confidence.

Chris wants to be productive every day to the point that he becomes rather hard on his own self on how he measures his level of success. He also goes to the gym religiously because a healthy lifestyle is important to him. Reading books is his number one pastime and most of his finance books are his favorite.

“Aside from my love in cracking numbers, I also learn a lot of things, to be responsible for my own financial future. Also, it helps boost my career as a management accountant,” Chris elucidated.

Chris loves to draw and paint. Although he never had the chance to develop this talent because of his other priorities in life, Chris hopes to draw and paint again in the near future. When asked if he could win this competition, Chris answered without second thoughts, “Definitely I will win this competition. With my 110% on it and with God’s help, I can certainly make it. Nothing is impossible if you are with Him.”
