Thai bizmen to explore trade partnerships with Cebuanos

CEBU, Philippines - Fifteen Thai businessmen will be in Cebu on June 26 to explore trade partnerships with Cebuano businessmen in an aggressive effort to penetrate the ASEAN region.

Jose T. Ng, Thailand Honorary Trade advisor in the Philippines, announced yesterday the "Thailand Business Matching" that aims to showcase various and leading Thai products which include autoparts and accessories such as tires and tubes for motorcycle and bicycle, car paints, shock absorber, rubber hose for industrial and automobile industry, automotive accessories body kit, bumpers, logo, name plates, etcetera Construction Materials consist of silicone sealant, bathroom accessories, rubber sport flooring, cylindrical door lock, shera wood, ceramic sanitary ware,etcetera. Electrical Accessories covers lighting fixture, junction box, enclosure, control station, etcetera.

Organized by the International Trade Promotion in Thailand, in conjunction with the Thai Trade Center, the whole day business matching event is also an opportunity for Cebuano businessmen to penetrate Thailand in forging mutual partnerships with Thai businessmen,

According to Ng, it is the best time for Cebuano businessmen to start looking outward as the ASEAN integration competition pressures will be much felt by the business players within the region starting next year.

Thailand, with over 60 million population is also a good potential market for locally manufactured processed food and fruit products. It is also a good gateway to gaining stronger ground in the 600-million consumer-based in ASEAN.

The business matching will be held at the Radisson Blu Hotel from eight in the morning to five in the afternoon.
