ORGANIQUE TAPS PHILUSA: Acai Berry now available in Mercury Drug outlets

CEBU, Philippines - Organique Inc., the brand that introduced the antioxidant drink “Acai Berry” has entered into business agreement with PhilUSA, the company that manages over 2,000 Mercury Drug Store outlets across the country.

 With the agreement, Organique Inc., vice president Catherine Salimbangon said that this will make the Philippines one of the largest markets for Acai Berry, Organique brand in the world today.

The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) which was signed between Organique Inc., and PhilUSA last April 27, 2011, allowed all Mercury Drug Stores nationwide to carry Acai Berry health and anti-oxidant drink at least in the next two years.

“This is a big boost to us, because one of our company’s thrusts is to make the product widely available and accessible to every Filipino,” Salimbangon said in an interview yesterday with The Freeman.

Aside from the company’s existing partnership with other retail outlets in the country, such as Watsons, Rose Phamacy, Happy Herbs, Health Express, Three Sixty Pharmacy chain, the entry of Mercury Drug’s distributorship could make the Philippines one of the important markets for Organique.

According to Salimbangon, after establishing its name in the Philippine market, the company is now eyeing to partners retail chains in other countries in Asia, although she is now also establishing market penetrating the United States.
