During an appreciation event attended by telecom dealers, network providers, and the media, Versatile Telecoms expressed its commitment to the Philippine market and its understanding of the sophistication of cellphone users today.
"We Filipinos want excellent style and great features but we also look for value for money. This is what drives us at Versatile Telecoms. We want to make available more and more mobile phones that would not only pass the high standards of Filipinos but would also fit their tight budget," said Maynard Ngu, president of Versatile Telecoms.
Li Bing, TCL & Alcatel general manager for Asia-Pacific, said, "We plan to grow and support the business in the Philippines and, as such, we have authorized Versatile Telecoms in May 2005 to distribute the new Alcatel mobile phones and to provide after-sales support for new and old Alcatel models."
Versatile Telecoms currently carries basic entry-level phones (OT-157 and OT-158) as well as video camera phones (OT-757 and OT-C552).
Since its formal appointment by the joint venture TCL & Alcatel Mobile Phones Ltd., Versatile Telecoms has been making value-for-money mobile handsets more available to Filipinos.
