MANILA, Philippines — At least 500 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P3.4 million were seized in a sting in Sta. Rosa, Laguna on Monday afternoon.

Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency confiscated the illegal drugs from Danilo Medina, 32, and Alvin Isales, 27, in Barangay Tagapo, the PDEA said in a report.

In South Cotabato, two drug suspects, said to have links with the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters and Dawlah Islamiya were apprehended after selling shabu worth P1 million from law enforcers who posed as buyers in Barangay Ladtingan on Sunday.

Brig. Gen. Percival Placer of the Soccsksargen police said the operation was conducted after local officials and barangay leaders reported the activities of the suspects.

In Tacloban City, ”high-value” suspect Arnel Malate and his alleged cohort Samuel Serina were arrested for alleged possession of shabu worth P408,000.
