StanChart taps Cathay for travel rewards

MANILA, Philippines - Standard Chartered Bank Philippines (SCBP) has tapped Cathay Pacific Airways as partner in a travel rewards program for the bank’s ‘priority’ customers.

In its Priority Banking travel campaign, SCBP said it offers rewards and services designed specifically for those “who appreciate only the finest things in life.”

SCBP chief executive officer and consumer banking head Mahendra Gursahani said the partnership underlines the bank’s customer-centric  strategy.

“We are continuously exploring new ways to offer our customers a superior banking experience. Our partnership with Cathay Pacific will open more opportunities for our priority customers to benefit from world-class travel while they enjoy many value-added services and products throughout the year,” he added.

Through the partnership, new Priority Banking clients will be rewarded with complimentary trips to up to 22 international destinations, a customized travel kit, and complimentary travel insurance. 

This promotion is open to clients who start a new Priority Banking relationship from Aug. 1 to Oct. 31 2013.

New Priority Banking customers can enjoy a complete travel experience with Cathay Pacific by just starting a banking relationship worth P2.5 million.

Among the offered privileges include: waived ATM withdrawal fees in the Philippines and abroad; access to over 24 million visa merchants worldwide; emergency cash services and designated international banking centers worldwide.

The Priority Banking Visa Infinite credit card grants cardholders privileged access to travel, dining, shopping, rewards and lifestyle benefits.

The priority services are delivered through multiple banking channels like exclusive Priority Banking centers, tellers, and hotline. This is on top of the dedicated Priority Banking team lead by the relationship manager.
