Phil 7, Puregold conduct business opportunity meeting

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Seven Corp. and Puregold Philippines met with micro, small and medium sized enterprises (MSMEs) to explore possible business opportunities with smaller businesses.

The meeting was part of the Business Matrix Program of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI).

This was the first of a series of meetings that will allow MSME suppliers to interact and explore business opportunities with “big brother” corporations and avail themselves of financing program offered by Small Business Corp. and other financial institutions.

The PCCI Business Matrix Program was launched to promote the development of MSMEs by providing ready markets for their products. The Business Matrix program is a network of companies (big brothers) and financial institutions providing small businesses access to markets and financial resources. The “big brothers” have agreed to allocate purchase orders for participants of the program to supply them with their requirements based on their criteria, standards and specifications.

“We in PCCI firmly believed that this Business Matrix Program will provide both the large corporations also known as “big brothers” and MSME access to the nationwide network and possibly expand the market potential to the countryside,” PCCI president Francis Chua said.

“With a ready market, business viability of MSME and Agri-Agra enterprises can be ensured and the view is that banks will be more inclined to lend to this sectors. He added that the program also provides capability-building facilities such as provision of training, consultancy and advisory service for micro and small enterprises that do not yet meet the requirements of the big brothers and banking requirements,” he added.
