VP Duterte kumalas sa Lakas-CMD; 'political toxicity,' 'powerplay' pinuna
MANILA, Philippines — Inanunsyo ni Bise Presidente Sara Duterte ngayong Biyernes ang kanyang pagkalas bilang miyembro ng partidong Lakas-CMD habang tinatawagan ang mga kasamang namumunong "magtrabaho na lang."
Ginawa ni Inday Sara ang maniobrang ito habang siya ang tumatayong chairperson ng partido.
"This is to announce my irrevocable resignation as a Lakas-CMD member effective today," sabi niya sa isang statement sa Facebook.
"I am grateful to all the party members for the support that also once demonstrated that unity is possible to advance our shared dreams for our fellow Filipinos and our beloved country."
Matatandaang nilisan ng bise, na anak ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte, ang kanyang panlalawigang partidong Hugpong ng Pagbabago para sumali sa Lakas-CMD noong Nobyembre 2021 bago ang nakaraang national elections.
Paliwanag ng Department of Education secretary at ngayo'y co-vice chair ng National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict na "wala nang mas importante sa kanya ngayon" kundi makapaglingkod sa kapwa Pilipino sa pamumuno ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
"Trust that my word, my commitment will be immutable," patuloy pa niya.
"I am here today because of the trust of the Filipino people in me to lead and serve them and the country, and this cannot be poisoned by political toxicity or undermined by execrable political powerplay."
"I call on all leaders to focus on the work that must be done and leave a legacy of a strong and stable homeland."
'Lakas-CMD nananatiling nagkakaisa'
Nananatiling "united" naman daw sa ngayon ang partido sa kabila ng pag-alis ng dating katuwang, ayon kay Lakad-CMD co-chairperson Sen. Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. sa isang pahayag.
"Lakas-CMD is the country's dominant political party and continues to be united and supportive of the leadership of President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos, Jr. under the stewardship of our Party President, Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez," paliwanag ni Revilla.
