Kontribusyon ng members intact - Pag-IBIG Fund
MANILA, Philippines - Siniguro ng Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG Fund) sa mga miyembro nito na ligtas ang kani-kanilang mga pondo, sabay pahayag na ang mga safeguards para maprotektahan ang integridad ng ahensiya ay nakalagay na, base sa kautusan ni Vice President and Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) Chair Jejomar C. Binay.
“The Pag-IBIG Fund remains firm in its commitment to protect its members’ hard-earned savings. Our members need not worry about the safety of their savings. Their funds are intact, and will remain under their names and will be lent or, at maturity, released only to them for their benefit,” ayon kay Emma Linda B. Faria, officer in charge ng Pag-IBIG Fund.
Sinabi ni Faria na ang budget para sa services at pagpapahiram para sa housing at short term loans, maging ang mga pondo para sa mga claims, ay hindi apektado sa sinasabing mga kwetyunableng transaksyon na may kinalaman umano ang developer na Globe Asiatique.
Kasabay nito ay sinabi ni Faria na ang ahensiya ay nagsimula na ng mga proceedings para i-blacklist ang Globe Asiatique.
Ibinunyag pa ni Faria na as of August 31, 2010, nakakuha ng “notices of buyback” na nagkakahalaga ng P1.1 billion para sa Xevera housing loans.
Ipinag-utos ni Binay ang masusing pag-aaral ng Xevera case sa kanyang unang pag-upo sa HUDCC. Si Binay ay chair ng Pag-IBIG Board of Trustees.
“We are ready to file the appropriate charges to protect the Fund. I have also directed the Pag-IBIG management to take the necessary steps to prevent a repeat of the Xevera case and to assure the members that their savings are being managed professionally,” pahayag ni Binay.
