Department of Sports pangusgan ni Vargas
CEBU, Philippines – Pangusgan ni Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) president Ricky Vargas ang katumanan sa pagtukod sa Department of Sports nga makatabang sa pagpalig-on ug pagpahiusa sa mga atletang Pinoy.
"I have seen our athletes compete for flag and country with minimal support but with maximum heart. I've seen how Filipino people have been inspired and I was moved by them at the times I've had the privilege witnessing people come together in support of the Philippines whether it's a Pacquiao fight or a Gilas game," matud pa ni Vargas sa The Philippine Star.
Si Vargas nga usa sab ka PBA board chairman, miingon nga dako og papel ang sports sa usa ka nasud ug pinaagi sa paugnat sa kusog mapakita sa usa ka nasud ang ilang kalig-on.
Nasayran, nga aduna na'y mga sakop sa Kongreso ang mipadayag sa ilang suporta sa pagtukod sa Department of Sports.
Dugang ni Vargas nga ilahi ang sports ug dili isagol sa ubang mga subject sa physical education nga mao ang music ug art.
