Pagmahal sa mga palitunon mao gihapon ang gikabalak-an sa mga Pinoy

Mao kini ang migawas nga resulta sa March 6 to 10 nga survey nga gihimo sa Pulse Asia, nga matud pa, “Seven in 10 Filipinos have identified inflation as among their most urgent national concerns.”            

Unsa man gyud kining inflation, unsa may nakaingon niini? Gikan sa internet: “Inflation is the rate of increase in prices over a given period of time. Inflation is typically a broad measure, such as the overall increase in prices or the increase in the cost of living in a country.

“The rise in headline inflation in 2022 was largely driven by external supply factors such as surges in international commodity prices due to global supply chain disruptions and depreciation of the local currency.”

So, makaingon kita nga ang hinungdan sa inflation sa atong nasud, among others, mao ang importation? O tingali gumikan sa smuggling? Mosuroy ka sa katindahanan, lakip na sa mga malls ug depaertment stores, hapit tanan nimong mapalit Made in China. Nag-unsa ra man diay ang atong local nga mga manufacturers? 

Sunod sa inflation, mao kining mosunod nga mga concerns natong mga Pinoy: Pagpausbaw sa sweldo sa mga mamumoo; pagpuo sa graft and corruption; pagmugna og dugang trabaho, thus reducing the unemployment rate; pagtabang sa mga mag-uoma, aron unta dili na kita magsalig kanunay sa importasyon; pagsulbad sa  kagutom; pag-support sa mga gagmayng magpapatigayon; pagsanta sa mga kadaut sa environment; ug pakigbugno batok sa kriminalidad.

Ug bahin sa gipamugos nga Charter, “Only one percent of the respondents said that Charter change is among their urgent concerns.”

So, kining pag-usab sa atong Konstitusyon, wala kini sa mga urgent concerns sa mga Pilipino.  Nganong ila man kining ipamugos? Kinahanglan maminaw unta sila sa pulso ug kabubot-on sa katawhan. Dili kay sila ra ang magbuot. 

Sa lain nga earlier survey nga gihimo, ang resulta  nagpakita nga “88 percent of the respondents oppose Charter change at this time, while 74 percent said the Constitution should not be amended now nor any other time.”

So, sa kadaghan sa mga problema nga atong giatubang ug gisagubang karon nga nagkinahanglan gayud og immediate solutions, let’s have Chacha later, kon gikinahanglan man.

“Some said the Constitution may be amended some other time, while 74 percent said the Constitution should not be amended now nor any other time. Only eight percent supported amending the Constitution at this time.”

Sa atong pangutana, kon ang Chacha makapaus-os ba sa prisyo sa bugas ngadto sa tag-P20 ang kilo? Makasulbad ba kini sa kagutom og sa nagkadaghan nga walay trabaho? Ang sitwasyon karon sa West Philippine Sea, masulbad ba Chacha, ug makapauminto ba sa sweldo sa atong labor force?

Sa ato ang giingon sa unahan, daghan ug dagko ang atong mga problema nga nagkinahanglan og urgent solutions. Is Chacha the immediate solution?

Kon ma-revive ang ROTC, bag-o na unya ang mga pamaagi niini, dili na sama sa among panahon nga kutob lang sa pag-martsa-martsa ug pagpa-as sa kahoy nga Garand rifles. Usa sa nag-unang proponents niini, si Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri nagkanayon: “In the ROTC program, for example, those experts in computers will be in the anti-cyber hacking division of the reservist force. If you are engineers, they will assist the AFP engineering programs, while nursing students will be grouped with the medical corps.” So, ma-harness gayud ang tagsa-tagsa ka talent o profession sa matag cadet.
