MANILA, Philippines - Barangay Ginebra, picking up speed in its shift to triangle offense, stretched its hot streak to three games as the Gin Kings stopped the erstwhile unbeaten NLEX Road Warriors, 110-97, in a PBA Governors Cup Petron Blaze road setto in Calasiao, Pangasinan last night.

After producing a 14-year league-high 39 assists the last time out, the Gin Kings continued to play as one cohesive unit, dishing out 32 feeds to highlight their conquest of the Road Warriors before a raucous sellout crowd at the Calasiao Sports Complex.

Joe Devance, Justin Brownlee, LA Tenorio and Scottie Thompson stood out in the PBA’s first game ever in this Dagupan City neighboring town.

The quartet sparkled in Ginebra’s huge 36-point explosion in the third quarter after engaging NLEX to a 50-48 seesaw first-half battle.

The Kings zoomed to an 86-66 lead in the third and coasted to a third straight win after an opening-game loss to the Meralco Bolts.

Ginebra moved up to solo fourth at 3-1 while NLEX dropped to third at 4-1 behind Star (3-0) and Meralco (3-0).

Meralco seeks solo lead as it takes on Kia at 6:45 p.m. tonight back at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Phoenix Petroleum (2-2) and Blackwater (0-3) clash in the day’s other game, then the tourney takes a short breather to give way to Gilas Pilipinas’ participation in the 2017 FIBA Asia Cup in Lebanon starting Tuesday.

Japeth Aguilar played 19 minutes and produced 10 points, six rebounds and two assists before rushing back to Manila for their early morning flight today.

Devance top scored with 23 points while Brownlee came through with 22 markers, 13 boards and six assists.

Tenorio finished with 17 points and seven assists to make up for eight turnovers while Thompson accounted for 11 of their 32 assists.
