Fans of the Trail Blazers can heave a sigh of relief as the 26-year-old point guard recently signed a contract extension that will let him see action with Portland until 2021.
Lillard was drafted by Portland in 2012. He averaged 27.0 points, 4.9 assists and 5.9 rebounds in the 2017 regular season.
The Trail Blazers were swept by eventual Western Conference champions Golden State Warriors in the first round of the playoffs.
