MANILA, Philippines – When it comes to firepower, Ginebra import Justin Brownlee believes Barangay Ginebra has more than enough.

Heck, even the Kings reinforcement himself believes he went overboard in their Game Three PBA Governors Cup finals loss to Meralco Wednesday night.

"Maybe I overshot a bit," said Brownlee, who finished with 42 points and 13 rebounds in the game.

But he also thinks that he could've gotten some help especially when the game entered its most pivotal stretch.

"We played OK. But maybe we needed a little bit of the guys [getting] more involved at certain points of the game," he said.

When the game clock read 2:57, Brownlee unleashed a scoring onslaught to keep Ginebra afloat. During the same period, Meralco was waxing hot behind Jimmy Alapag and Reynel Hugnatan.

But it was only the American import and Japeth Aguilar who were clicking during that stretch. The former scored 11 points while the latter added six.

Clearly, it wasn't enough to turn back the Bolts – who were dialed in from distance.

While the game is now water under the bridge, the former New York Knick forward thinks the Kings just have to get back to the drawing board – of playing the Ginebra brand of basketball.

"We just need get back to the basics of our offense – of moving the ball and getting everybody involved,” he added.

Only three locals were able chime in double-digit scoring in the game. They were LA Tenorio, Scottie Thompson and Aguilar, who tallied 14, 10 and 12 points, respectively.

"We definitely have to get those guys going. When those guys have a big game, we usually don't lose," said Brownlee.
