St Clare faces AMA in NAASCU cage opener

MANILA, Philippines – St. Clare College and AMA University face off today in one of the featured seniors matches kicking off the 2016 National Athletic Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (NAASCU) men’s basketball tournament at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay.

The Saints and the Titans, coached by Mark Herrera, clash at 10 a.m., each raring to come out with a strong start in the tournament which drew 14 teams, including New Era University, De Ocampo Memorial College, Enderun Colleges, University of Pasay, San Lorenzo, Fatima College, Philippine Merchant Marine School, Philippine Christian University, Lyceum-Subic, Eulogio “Amang” Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology, Manuel L. Quezon University and last year’s overall champion Rizal Technological University. 

Brief opening rites at 9 a.m. will usher in this year’s staging of the annual event, which will also feature the Mr. and Ms. NAASCU.
