Pace rebounds with 2 wins in Milcu caging

MANILA, Philippines – PACE Academy posted two victories in contrasting fashions to bolster its drive in the Milcu Got Skills Summer Showcase 16-under division at the Technological Institute of the Philippines gym recently.

Pau Antiporda hit 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds as PACE nipped Don Bosco Technological College, 54-53, while Geo Chiu made 12 points, six rebounds, and two blocks in powering PACE to a 52-37 romp over Adamson-C.

It was a big comeback by PACE, which dropped its opening day game in the tournament sponsored by Milcu and sanctioned by the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas.

In other results, Marlon Mahilum finished with 20 points and six rebounds to lift San Beda Alabang to a 61-59 victory over Pampanga High School, while MGC New Life Christian Academy routed the Bulacan Rabbits, 52-38.

Over at the Enderun Colleges gym, John Vidal scored 14 points as Enderun trounced University of Santo Tomas, 60-53, in the 25-under division of the tournament backed by Basketball TV, Gatorade, Clyde Shoe Cleaner, Kawasaki, LGR, SLAM, Rain Or Shine, Honda, Coach Athletic Trainers Tape, Secret Fresh, Mighty Sports, and Nousha Kebabs and Barbeque.

Malolos Mighty won over Technological Institute of the Philippines, 71-62, while Dan Wong had 12 points as Ateneo outclassed Lyceum, 65-49, in other 25-U games.

In the 12-U, Bulacan Rabbits won over Southridge, 47-15, while Bulacan Rabbits beat MGC, 43-33. Pinoy Youth Dreamers edged Bulacan Rabbits, 48-32, in the 14-U category.
