2 Ateneo fives reach SBP-Passerelle F-4

MANILA, Philippines - Ateneo sent two teams into the semifinals of the Milo-sponsored, Best Center organized Small Basketeers Philippines-Passerelle twin tournaments for children over the weekend.

Ateneo-A defeated Nazareth School of National University, 64-52, for its fifth win in six games in Group B of SBP, earning the right to face unbeaten Group A leader and host Xavier School-A, which clobbered Chiang Kai Shek College, 53-33.

They clash at 1 p.m. on Sunday at the Xavier School gym.

The other pairing, which will play at 2:15 p.m., pits CKSC (5-1) against Group B leader La Salle-Greenhills-A (6-0).

Ateneo was unbeaten with six wins in Group B of the Passerelle Division and will face LSGH-A, which ripped Lourdes School of Mandaluyong, 83-31, for its fifth win in six games in Group A. 

The Ateneo-LSGH semis match is set at 2:15 p.m. after the 1 p.m. match between Group A leader Adamson (6-0) and Group B second-placer Nazareth School of National University (5-1).

The finals are set on Sept. 12.
