Murray outlasts Kyrgios as Mavericks notch first IPTL win

MANILA, Philippines – The Manila Mavericks’ Andy Murray defeated Nick Kyrgios of the Singapore Slammers in the men's singles, 6-5, to give the Philippine squad its first win in the final day of the inaugural  International Premier Tennis League (IPTL) at the Mall of Asia Arena Sunday.

The Mavericks thus won their match-up with the Slammers, 27-19.

The team likewise ended its two-match skid in the three-day tournament, earlier losing to the UAE Royals and the Indian Aces.
