MANILA, Philippines – Nonito Donaire Jr. arrived in Manila early Wednesday, three days after his impressive knockout win over Jorge Arce in Houston.
Donaire touched down at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2 on board a Philippine Airlines flight from San Francisco at around 5:50 a.m.
The Filipino-American boxer was greeted by some fans upon his arrival.
Donaire made a strong case in winning the Fighter of the Year honor after his third-round disposal of Arce to retain his WBO super bantamweight title.
