EO 28 paborable sa fireworks industry

Puwede pa ring bumili ng paputok at pailaw ang publiko na gagamitin para sa mga iba’t ibang okasyon lalu na sa Bagong Taon. Kaya naman tuwang-tuwa ang Philippine Fireworks Association (PFA) dahil daw malaking tulong ito sa mga nagtatrabaho sa industriya ng pyrotechnic. 

Naniniwala si PFA president Joven Ong na ikinonsi­dera rin ng Pangulo ang hanapbuhay na mawawala sa may 150,000 Pilipino na ang tanging kabuhayan ay ang paggawa at pagbenta ng paputok at pailaw. Tingin ko lang, ang mahalaga ay magkaroon ng close supervision ang pamahalaan upang tiyakin na hindi lumalampas sa itinakdang standard ng pamahalaan ang lakas ng mga ginagawang rebentador. Sana, ito ang mangyari sa bagong batas.

“Our good president has exercised pragmatism and showed empathy to the plight of thousands of our fellow Filipinos in allowing firecrackers and pyrotechnics to still be enjoyed by our countrymen. Kunsabagay, 150 libong  Filipinos ang mawawalan nang kabuhayan kung total na ibabawal ang lahat ng rebentador. 

Binigyang diin ni Ong, nakapaloob sa EO 28 parti­kular ang Section 2, ang paggamit ng pyrotechnics o pailaw ay pinapayagan kahit saan lugar at kahit na sa tapat ng bahay. Ang mga firecracker o paputok naman ay maaari lang gamitin sa sinasabing designated community areas o ligtas na lugar.

“Our good president found it in his heart not to totally ban fireworks to save the livelihood of the greater majo­rity of Filipinos in the fireworks industry. We In the Philip­pine Fireworks Association are thankful to the president for this. In Section 2 of EO 28, Consumer use of pyrotechnics is still allowed. It is only firecracker that is affected in where it is allowed to be used. Pyrotechnics can be used in the comfort of our homes with family and friends. God bless our president. God bless the Philippines,” dagdag pa ni Ong.

At maging si Presidential Communications Operations­ Office Secretary Martin Andanar ay nagsabing pabor sa mga negosyanteng nasa fireworks industry ang EO 28.

Nakasaad din sa EO 28 na inaatasan ang Philippine National Police (PNP), sa pakikipagtulungan sa DILG, DENR, DOH, Bureau of Fire Protections, para sa pagsasagawa ng public consultations para sa bubuuing implementing rules and regulations o IRR.
