“We are so happy that despite the glitches, and only two days before this meeting was to end, our friends in the Philippine Olympic Committee met with officials of their government to discuss and then confirm to us now their hosting of the 2019 SEA Games,” sabi ni Imran.

“Marawi is very far from the proposed places and venue of the next SEA Games. And we are also assured that the incoming SEA Games Chairman, himself will receive the flags in the turnover ceremony as part of the commitment,” dagdag ni Imran.

Masaya ring binati si Philippine Olympic Committee president Jose Cojuangco, Jr. nina Imran, OCA Secretary General Dato Low Beng Choo at Badminton Association of Malaysia president Datuk Seri Mohammad Norza Zakaria matapos ng pulong.

“Noong umpisa kasi, tinatanong nila kami na what happen, ang sabi ko na lang ay we will make an announcement. Akala nila, hindi na tuloy but when they heard from the SEAGF president and from us, natuwa sila at nagpalakpakan tapos binati nila kami lahat,” ayon kay Cojuangco, nakasama sina POC First Vice-president Jose Romasanta, Treasurer Julian Camacho at auditor Jonne Go.

“In order to avoid traffic, it will be held in Central Luzon particularly in Bulacan, Pampanga and Zambales that are so close also to Subic and Clark,” dagdag pa ng POC chief.
