International luxury group Kering Eyewear presented its latest collection from seven iconic brands at The Gallery of The Peninsula Manila recently.

Bottega Veneta’s intrecciato (meticulous technique of weaving leather) is what the brand is famous for. The laser-etched intrecciato motif is seen in the acetate of the eyewear.

Puma’s collection consists of ultra-modern shapes that enhance the freedom of movement while Alessandro Michele Gucci eyewear collection is hinged on gender neutrality and eccentric decorations.

Environmentally conscious Stella McCartney uses ethically sourced materials such as bio-acetate, fibers from seeds, and conifers and broadleaves making it 100-percent eco-friendly, 100-percent biodegradable, 100-percent recyclable. Iconic French designer Yves Saint Laurent’s eyewear can be described as timeless, unisex classics that are restyled with modernity. The late Alexander McQueen’s contemporary McQ brand’s new eyewear styles are inspired by vintage Americana.

During the launch, Kering Eyewear representatives toured guests around the venue and spoke to them about the collection. They also gave recommendations on what eyewear would best suit one, based on the shape of one’s face.

A curated food selection by chef Eduardo Madela highlighted the signature look of each brand.

(Kering Eyewear pieces will be available in leading department stores and optical shops in the Philippines soon.)

The future of logistics innovation

A night of music and revelry was had by the executives of In1Go Technologies Inc. as they feted friends and clients to introduce the company’s newest innovative product named 1Go Loadr.

In1Go Technologies is a 100-percent Filipino-owned IT services and BPO company that offers a suite of value enterprise solutions to industries that deal with consumer goods, petroleum, food, among others.

1Go Loadr is a web- and mobile-enabled collaborative platform (also known as an online marketplace) where both haulers and shippers converge to address the numerous delivery requirements of customers. Through a mobile app (downloadable from the Google Play Store or via the web at www.1go-load.me), haulers of varying scale can now gain access to a wide variety of items for shipment while shippers can conveniently find a reliable hauler with the right vehicle for their requirements. Over 2,000 trucks are enrolled in the system that can take loads on-demand. Security and peace of mind are also assured thanks to real time, GPS truck tracking and monitoring.

In1Go Technologies operations manager Manny Miranda said, “With our extensive experience in servicing the logistics market, we saw a need for an app like 1Go Loadr. With this, we aim to open up the space to smaller haulers by giving them access to a larger community.”

1Go Loadr hopes to help increase productivity and convenience for both haulers and shippers by delivering the future of logistics collaboration.
