Celebrating a classic
It was an evening of wines, songs, good times and Argentine tango at the celebration of the sixth Malbec World Day in Manila. Celebrated in 70 cities across 54 countries, Malbec World Day commemorates the iconic Malbec, Argentina’s flagship wine.
Held at Buddha-Bar Manila in Makati City, the strictly-by-invitation event was organized by the Embassy of Argentina in Manila, led by Argentine Ambassador Roberto Bosch and his wife Julia Noberasco; and Wines of Argentina, the organization responsible for promoting the image of Argentine wines around the globe.
Fourteen of the most important wine importers in the Philippines displayed more than 120 labels of Argentine wine in a special wine-tasting event for 300 buyers, journalists and special guests. The wines were paired with Argentine beef and sizzling tango performances.

A strong, unwavering bond
The amiable Minerva Tanseco recently organized a get-together with several of her closest friends from Maryknoll College (now Miriam College).
The members of the tightly-knit group, who have been classmates since kindergarten, reminisced about their fondest memories during their student days, did some catching up with each other and agreed to have their reunions more often.
Until the next get-together, ladies!
