Rody to AMLC: Release info on my accounts

Christina Mendez - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Following accusations that he and his family have about P2 billion in bank deposits, President Duterte urged the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) to make public any information it has against him.

In a dinner with members of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Class of 1967 at the Baguio Country Club last night, Duterte told his mistahs (classmates) that he will not do anything to shame his adoptive class and the PMA as an institution.

“Twenty-three years ago, I became an adopted member of the PMA Class of 1967. Our tradition of service to the people can be attested by our history...remains a source of pride to everyone in this batch. That is why I’m very honored,” he said.

Duterte hit his accuser, Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV, a fellow PMAer and member of Class of 1995.

“I am greatly proud to (be a part) of Class of 1967. And there will be never be a time that I would shame the class,” he said.

Duterte then reiterated his appeal to the AMLC to reveal if it has any information to show that he has billions of pesos in banks as alleged by Trillanes.
