Wong to name corrupt politicians, judges?

- Jaime Laude -
Controversial Chinese businessman Kam-sin "Kim" Wong has threatened to spill the beans on top politicians, police officials and court justices after he was summoned to a Senate inquiry on his alleged links to the Hong Kong Triad, Camp Crame sources said yesterday.

But Wong’s lawyer, former Solicitor General Frank Chavez, denied Wong would squeal "because there is nothing to squeal on."

"The story is pure rubbish and should be thrown to the garbage can where it belongs. It is the fabrication of people with intense motive to see him dead. It is the handiwork of paid spin masters out to discredit Kim Wong and pursue the same lie about him," Chavez said in a press statement.

Chavez said Kim Wong has been keeping to himself and his security escorts provided by the police and has not gone out with any friends nor confided in them any of the matters now attributed to him.

"Kim Wong will never squeal because there is nothing to squeal on. This is obviously a disinformation by those who publicly accuse him," he said.

In an earlier letter to the police, Chavez asked them to determine the exact identity of another Kim Wong, whom he claimed to be the one actually linked to the Chinese Triad.

In a letter to PNP chief Director General Leandro Mendoza, Chavez said the other Kim Wong was linked to a Chinese businessman, identified as Peter Choi, and was deported after his underground activities in the country were exposed.
