Acapellago tops Awit Awards with 7 nominations

Pardon the short intro but this is a long list and it is all about Filipino artists so I want to mention everybody. These are the nominees at the 2017 Awit Awards. This is the recording industry’s own award-giving body and is therefore considered the most credible. 

Top-notchers after the two-day screening held at the Club Filipino in Greenhills is the a cappella group Acapellago which received seven nods including Best New Group Recording Artist of the Year. His fans will be happy to know that also quite a newcomer is Iñigo Pascual with four nominations for his Dahil Sa ’yo.

Note, however, that this is not the final list. From now on until the awards night, any nominee can be booted out if found to be in violation of the Awit rules. So there, I hope everybody in this list followed those rules to the letter.
