Cocolife extends facility for power projects

MANILA, Philippines - Cocolife, the biggest  Filipino-owned  stock  life  insurance  company, extends  financial  credit  assistance  to  Sunwest  Group  of  Companies  by granting a P250-million term loan facility.

The fund will be used by Sunwest Water and Electric Co., Inc. (Suweco) and Romblon Energy Corp. for its diesel power plant projects in Catanduanes and Romblon.

 “As an active partner in nation-building, Cocolife supports the country’s economic development by providing financial assistance to community development projects aimed at creating a positive impact on our society,” Cocolife president Alfredo Tumacder Jr said.

Aside from providing comprehensive financial protection programs, Cocolife aims to improve the lives of Filipinos by providing busineess, housing, and salary loans to private and government employees. 

The first ISO-certified life insurance firm in the country also promotes holistic community development.

Recently, Cocolife turned over 23 classrooms, including  science  and  computer  laboratories, to  the Department of Education’s Adopt-A-School Program.
