DMCI plans to match last year’s project list
MANILA, Philippines - Residential resort leader DMCI Homes plans to match this year the number of project launches it made last year to support what it sees is still a growing market for condominiums in the Philippines.
In an interview, DMCI Homes project development manager Dennis O. Yap told The STAR that the property arm of conglomerate DMCI Holdings Inc. is looking to unveil a total of four to five projects this year.
Locations for the upcoming projects include Baguio, Taguig, and Mandaluyong while the others are still being finalized, Yap said.
Yap said the new projects would add 3,000 to 4,000 units to DMCI Homes’ existing portfolio.
“We do have several lined up projects that can be launched this year. These projects will continue to target the middle to high income segment of the market,” he said.
Aside from the areas where it is currently present, DMCI Homes is also planning to expand its presence in key cities outside Metro Manila in the coming years.
Since its inception in 1999, DMCI Homes has established itself as a major player in resort-themed mid-rise residential condominium communities in Metro Manila.
The company’s newly completed Flair Towers in Mandaluyong City is already 99 percent sold out to date, Yap said.
