Dingdong, Andrea macho-sexy pair at Hood event in Cebu

MANILA, Philippines – GMA 7’s most watched TV program, Alyas Robin Hood, held its first mall show last Oct. 23 at the Gaisano Fiesta Mall in Tabunok, Cebu City to thank its loyal viewers for making the show a success.

The Kapuso Network recently won back the lead in nationwide TV ratings as evidenced by data provided by Nielsen TV Audience Measurement, with Alyas Robin Hood being one of the highest-rating Kapuso programs in National Urban Philippines. The recently-launched Kapuso primetime show is also included in the list of the 10 top-rating shows in Urban Luzon.

Cebuanos welcomed the series’ lead stars Dingdong Dantes and Andrea Torres. During their respective performances, the crowd grooved with Dingdong, while Andrea fired up the mall’s stage.

In an interview before the show, Dingdong said he is thankful that his show is receiving good feedback from its viewers and topping the ratings game since it started airing last Sept. 19 on the Telebabad primetime block.

“If we could only do it every day to thank the televiewers, we would. We just finished our fifth week, at nasa pang anim na linggo na kami ngayon. Things are getting really hectic because of the difficulty in shooting action scenes. Sobrang sarap n’yang gawin because we see the results na tinatangkilik sya. We’re really entertaining people and at the same time, inspiring them kaya nga we took this opportunity to come to Cebu. We want Cebu as our first destination para makapagpasalamat for giving us very good results.”

Dingdong also added that viewers still have a lot to watch out for as the series gets more thrilling. “Magtutulungan ang lahat ng characters to overcome the problems that they are encountering in the society. Nandyan yung injustices, drugs, relationships, Internet, social media and there will be more surprises as the show progresses.”

In the show, Dingdong also said that he is thrilled to work with showbiz’s veteran stars like Christopher de Leon, Gary Estrada, Cherie Gil, Dennis Padilla, Ces Quesada, Rey PJ Abellana and Jaclyn Jose.

Andrea, on the other hand, is all praises for leading man Dingdong. “We hope that people will continue supporting us, kaya ginaganahan at nag-iisip pa kami kung paano pa pagagandahin ang show. I’m very lucky to be part of the show dahil napaka-generous (with advice) ni Dingdong. Inaalalayan n’ya ako sa mga action scenes namin at ginagawa n’yang magaan ang atmosphere sa set.”

Meanwhile, the cast and crew of the primetime series held a thanksgiving Mass last Oct. 7.
