Drug bust yields P200T 'shabu'

BACOLOD CITY , Philippines   â€” The police seized about P200,000 worth of shabu and arrested four of the six suspects in a buy-bust operation this city, Thursday evening.

Supt. Jefferson Descallar, deputy director for administration of the Bacolod City Police Office identified the suspects as Noel Cabugwason Jr. and his live-in partner Alma Sause, both of Purok Sigay, Barangay Dos, this city; Maria Fe Tomias and Christian Equibal, both were at the couple's residence during the raid while the two other suspects, identified as Rene Diaz Jr. and Angelo Diaz, had evaded police arrest.

Recovered from the couple were suspected shabu worth P150 to P200,000, a .45 pistol, a .38 caliber revolver, .45 magazine, three live ammunition, P5,700 cash, drug paraphernalia and the buy-bust's marked money worth P400.

 Violations of Sections 5 and 11 of Article 2 of the Republic Act 9165 or the sale and possession of illegal drugs charges will be filed against the six suspects. Further, the couple will also face charges for violation of Section 28 RA 10591, or the illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.  (FREEMAN)
