CEBU, Philippines - A 21-year-old man is fighting for his life in a hospital after getting shot for no apparent reason Friday evening in sitio Laray, barangay San Roque, Talisay City.
Reymond Labaya Dechosa, of Laray, who was shot on the head, right shoulder, and left thigh, was taken to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center.
The police found four slugs of caliber .45 pistol at the crime scene.
SPO4 Daniel Tarucan and PO3 Ferdinand Pablo said Dechosa with other bystanders when two unidentified men on a motorcycle arrived.
The passenger, holding a gun, got off and approached Dechosa.
Dechosa immediately ran towards the back of a gasoline station but the armed man gave chase and eventually shot him.
Dechosa slumped to the ground.
Pablo said Dechosa was a billiard hall watchman and jeepney barker in the neighborhood.
