CEBU, Philippines — The D’Generals Basketball Club Season 4 billed as “Camaraderie Cup” will kick off on Sunday, August 2, at the Aulga City Sports in Barangay Lawaan II, Talisay City.
A total of 10 teams will slug it out for the coveted crown. These are the Lightsout, Brotherhood, Mix Hoopers, Gunners, Venom Vipers, Still&Motion, Rise Up, Go Hard, Iron Bulls, and Blitz.
They are divided into two groups, with the Top 4 in each bracket at the end of the single round robin elimination advancing to the quarterfinals. The winners will proceed to the semifinals and then to the finals, which are both a winner-take-all affair.
Meanwhile, league commissioner Cynizar Esconde thanked all the teams and their supporters for their continued trust that keeps them going.
He also urged the participants to respect one another and follow the rules, emphasizing that fair play, discipline, and sportsmanship are the foundation of a successful and enjoyable season.
“This league is not only about winning championships or proving who is the best team. It is about building friendships, strengthening brotherhood, and creating a community where everyone feels welcome and respected. Basketball is simply the game that brings us together, but the relationships we establish are what truly matter,” said Esconde.
“Win or lose, let us always remember that the greatest victory is the friendships we build and the respect we show each other on and off the court. Let’s make this season a memorable experience for everyone,” Esconde added.
