Multi-sport event spices up Hudyaka ZaNorte 2024

CEBU, Philippines — Various sporting events have been put in place to add glitz and glamour to the grand Hudyaka ZaNorte Festival 2024 in Zamboanga del Norte.

Starting off with chess, badminton, motocross, and drag race competition, the organizers hold a three-day volleyball clinic, which will end today (Thursday, May 30), conducted by varsity players from the Adamson University Falcons in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP).

The people of ZaNorte brace for a more exciting and fun-filled weekend with eight tournaments on tap.

This Saturday’s (June 1) spectacle kicks off with the Hudyaka Half-Marathon Challenge at the Capitol Plaza in Dipolog City, volleyball tilt at the Sta. Isabel court, and golf at the world-class Dakak Golf Club in Dapitan City.

The whole-day action also features an 8-a-side football festival, Bancarera boat race at Dapitan’s picturesque Sunset Boulevard, Philippine Practical Shooting Association (PPSA) Level 2 shootfest, darts showdown at Estaka Central School, and hip-hop dance contest.

On Sunday (June 2), the Kapadyak Mindanao Mountain Bike Challenge will be staged at ZaNorte Sports Complex in Dipolog followed by the continuation of the rest of games.

The fortnight extravaganza is among the highlights of the 72nd founding anniversary celebration of the Province of Zamboanga del Norte under the leadership of Governor Rosalina “Nanay Nene” Jalosjos.
