Bosconians sizzle in Aboitizland football

CEBU, Philippines —  Defending champion Don Bosco Technical College started its title retention bid strong with two straight wins in the 21st Aboitizland Football Cup at their own turf yesterday.

Don Bosco’s under-8 squad  silenced Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu, 2-0, followed by a 2-1 victory over Don Bosco’s Team E.

Don Bosco’s Team B also scored back-to-back victories against Don Bosco-F, 6-0 and Paref Springdale, 2-1.

Aside from Don Bosco teams, Team Naga also registered two straight wins. The Naga booters beat Einstein, 2-1, followed by a 1-0 win over University of San Carlos, 1-0.

SHS-Ateneo bounced back after upending Einstein, 2-0, while USC silenced KNF, 1-0.

In the under-10 bracket, Don Bosco’s Team A and Team K with University of San Jose-Recoletos shared the lead with two wins each.
