CEBU, Philippines — A fire hit a residential area at M. Velez Street, Barangay Guadalupe, Cebu City, yesterday dawn, causingdamage estimated at ?12 million.
According to the report of the Cebu City Fire Station, the fire occurred at 3:16 a.m. and firefighters arrived immediately from various areas in Cebu City.
At 3:56 a.m., the fire was raised to the third alarm. At 5:38 a.m. the fire was declared under control, and by 6:25 a.m. it was completely extinguished by the responding fire departments.
Four houses were affected by the fire, two of which were totally burned and the other two partially burned. The fire department is still investigating what caused the fire.
