CEBU, Philippines —Members of the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) are set for a convergence meeting in Cebu City on April 18.

This was revealed by Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama after a short trip to Davao City in the middle of last week.

Rama, who is the PDP-Laban s vice-president for the Visayas Region, was in Davao to meet with former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, PDP-Laban chairman, among others, after missing their political party s Christmas gathering last year.

There are things we want verified for this year s activities, politics, and what not,  Rama said through his program over the city s Sugboanon channel.

Rama said they have  very interesting exchanges  on some national issues and other concerns but refused to elaborate about it.

Some politics were discussed but I m not at liberty to talk about it,  Rama added.

Rama was also asked about the possible senatorial bid of Duterte in 2025, but the former said it was not discussed in their latest meeting.

However, Rama revealed that PDP-Laban will have a converge meeting in April here.

The most important, is to converge More of where are you, are you still with us?  Rama said.

Meanwhile, Rama also expressed support to Western Visayas concerning the power outage in their area.

I m making a stand to support Western Visayas especially to our adviser Mayor Jerry Trenas (of Iloilo) Western Visayas has an outage of power and it doesn t look good Supporting on their stand that it should be addressed by the NGCP,  Rama, who is also the national president of the League of Cities of the Philippines, said.

Rama said he is very concerned about it as it also affects the economy and peace and order.

That matter I am very concerned If one region which is part of the LCP may not have that much reliability of power, it will definitely affect the economy And not only the economy, the peace and order because when darkness looms, thieves  spread and become increasing,  Rama added. (CEBU NEWS)
