Cops arrested man selling drugs inside motel
CEBU, Philippines — A 32-year-old man was arrested in a buy-bust operation inside a motel in Barangay Tipolo, Mandaue City last Monday evening.
The Mandaue City Police Office (MCPO) seized about P590,000 worth of illegal drugs from alleged peddler Wilfredo Aguilar Tabalin, a resident of Barangay San Isidro, Talisay City, at 10:35 p.m.
Superintendent Bernouli Abalos, chief of the City Intelligence Branch (CIB) of the MCPO, said they received information that Tabalin was selling drugs and was arrested in one of the rooms of a motel located in Sitio Maharlika, Barangay Tipolo.
The suspect did not resist arrest after he was caught in the act of selling drugs to a police decoy.
Abalos said the drugs weigh about 50 grams.
Tabalin is detained at the MCPO-Holding Cell, pending the filing of the complaint of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. — GAN (FREEMAN)
