Treatment for Open Skin Pores

Everyone is born with no visible pores on their faces. Those lucky to have a genetically ‘poreless’ skin will enjoy it until their early 20s to 30s. From their mid-30s to 40s, everybody’s pores just seem to, like say, “Hi, I’m here.”

Genes is a major factor that predisposes one to have open pores. Oily skin due to hormonal changes or wrong skin care products can make pores look very visible. Especially with those who do not embark on regular facial treatment.

Many people go for regular facials – but have their faces pricked so they are doomed to have deep scarring or open pores. The usual treatment previously was to use topical solutions with pore minimizing action. Some even use makeup every day, like a concealer, to hide open pores.

Proper makeup remover should be very light in consistency and used every night to remove makeup, oil and dirt residues before washing with a mild cleanser appropriate for one’s skin type. The skin should be allowed to breathe at night.

By applying nightly skin care regimen on a properly cleaned face, the active ingredients of the products will be absorbed better, maximizing the results. Treatments used to remedy open pores are aplenty, but the most effective laser I have used so far, and my personal favorite, is the laser peel.
