Festival of lights

The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines – In observance of the rich Hindu tradition, a colorful Festival of Lights takes place from November 9 through 14 at Feria of Radisson Blu Cebu.

The whole week is spiced up with the celebration of the Diwali Festival, featuring aromatic Indian cuisine specially prepared by Radisson Blu Cebu's Indian Chef Hira Tiwari. With over 35 years of experience, Chef Tiwari has cooked his way into luxury hotels of Switzerland and New Delhi's five-star Taj Mahal hotel and is now bringing his irresistible fusion of Indian herbs and spices to Radisson Blu Cebu.

At a special price per person, diners get to enjoy the aromatic flavors of Indian dishes, such as chicken masala, lamb seehk kebab, mutton rogan josh, and shrimp biryani along with the featured traditional Indian sweets of mung dahl halva, kheer and firni. The distinctive Indian fare is specially cooked at Feria, with its very own tandoor (clay oven) from where fresh dishes like the crisp and pillowy naan bread is baked, as well as the classic tandoori chicken.
