Director Ricardo de Leon, police community relations chief, said  police are keeping a close watch on tourist spots in Mindanao and other favorite destinations of foreigners in Cebu, Boracay, Palawan and Baguio City.


De Leon said 20 policemen, who had served as peacekeepers in East Timor, will man a tactical operations center at the Department of Tourism (DOT) in Manila.
