'That's on me': Blatche takes blame after Gilas' blowout loss to Italy

MANILA, Philippines — Andray Blatche took the blame after Gilas Pilipinas suffered a beatdown against Italy on Saturday.

"I take 100% responsibility in that game no energy or puso that's on me no excuses i owe better to all of you," Blatche said in a tweet Sunday morning.

The naturalized cager scored a team-high 15 points but also tallied nine turnovers in 31 minutes on the court.

Blatche also finished the game with a -39 Plus/Minus, meaning the Italians outscored Gilas by 39 points when he was on the court.

Blatche and the rest of the Filipinos hope to bounce back when they face world no. 4 Serbia on Monday.
