HOLLYWOOD – Manny Pacquiao said he’s not thinking of the rematch with Floyd Mayweather Jr. until he’s done with Adrien Broner.

Well, it’s the people around Pacquiao who do.

A source within Team Pacquiao hinted Sunday here that Mayweather vs Pacquiao Part 2 might take place this year.

“Floyd likes July,” he told Pinoy scribes.

“He’s looking at London or Russia as possible venue,” said the source, who has access to key information concerning Pacquiao.

Mayweather had gone on and off the record he’s open for a rematch of their blockbuster showdown in 2015.

Last September, he said he was ready to fight Pacquiao in December of 2018. Instead, he fought a Japanese kickboxer on New Year’s Eve in Saitama.

The 41-year-old boxer with a perfect 50-0 record said no rematch with Pacquiao was taking place because he’s retired.

But the source, who requested anonymity, said there had been an understanding between the two legends.

In fact, he said Mayweather, who was in Manila last May, is due for a second visit to the Philippines in the coming months.

The source said there’s a plan to put up giant billboards in Metro Manila to signal the rematch.

“I’m not thinking about that. My focus is Adrien Broner. Maybe we can discuss after this fight,” Pacquiao said.

Last September, the two superstars bumped into each other during a rave concert in Tokyo. A few nights ago, they met during an NBA game in Los Angeles.

Mayweather and Pacquiao “accidentally” met during an NBA game in Miami in January 2015. Four months after that meeting, they fought and made nearly $600 million.

“Small world,” Pacquiao was told of the meetings.

He smiled, and said, “I don’t know. It just happened. I don’t have any idea who planned or what.”

Pacquiao’s trainer, Freddie Roach, is wishing for the rematch to take place – soon.

“I hope so because that’s the one fight I want to have. I know we can do better,” said Roach.

“Hopefully that happens. If not there are others out there that are big names also but he’s (Mayweather) my first choice,” he said.

They’re drumming it up.
