World Slasher Cup 2 elims under way

MANILA, Philippines — Action in the World Slasher Cup Invitational nine-cock derby 2 heats up with the staging of the second round elims with a slew of topnotch fights on tap at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Today’s two-cock elims will feature new entries with the qualifiers to advance to the three-cock semifinals on May 8 and 9.

After a break May 10, all finalists will slug it out on May 11 (four-cock finals for 2 to 3.5 points) and May 12 (four-cock finals for 4 to 5 points).

The aces of Biboy Enriquez, Frank Berin, Felix Gatchalian, Jimmy Junsay, Patrick Puno, Patrick Antonio, Dante Eslabon, Escolin Brothers, Rey Briones, Anthony Lim, Nestor Vendivil, Rikki Reyes, James Uy, Art de Castro, Claude Bautista and Hermie Capuchino clashed in yesterday’s elims of the event hosted by the Pintakasi of Champions and backed by Excellence Poultry and Livestock Specialists and Pit Game Media Inc. of Manny Berbano.

The foreign roster is led by Charles Berry of Louisiana, Janson Lee of Oklahoma, Roger Nook of Vietnam, Steven Symms of Mississippi, Carlos Camacho of Guam and Jorge Goitia of California.
