In This Corner

MANILA, Philippines - The weekly boxing show Rod Nazario’s In This Corner welcomes the new year with the exciting 10-round bout between Vergel Puton and Richard Olisa.

The featherweight match was held just before 2013 came to end at the Binangonan Recreational and Convention Center in Binangonan, Rizal.

The lone main bout will be aired 7-8 p.m. over PTV-4 and presented by Ginebra San Miguel, San Miguel Beer, Purefoods, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) and Petron.

Two previous fights by the 24-year-old Puton against Rex Olisa and Prell Tupaz, respectively, will be shown before the main event.
