Mr. Pilpinas na, Man of the World pa

Ipinanganak si Tyler Gaumer sa Cleveland Ohio USA. Italian ang tatay nya habang Pinay naman ang kanyang ina. Lumaki sya sa Los Angeles pero ngayon nakikipagsapalaran siya sa Pinas. (At para maging katuwang ko raw sa life. Chos!)

“I am here for show business. I am practising my acting, modelling, dancing, singing, kinda jack of all trades.  I want to get that golden tic-ket to perpetuate my career.” Pagbibida ni Tyler. (Ay nasa akin ‘yung ticket na ‘yan!)

Una syang sumabak sa mga male pageants. Naging runner-up sya sa Mr. Pilipinas Worldwide 2023 at finalist sa Man of the World 2023. “For me, just stay focused. Know why you are there, for exposure and try to win the crown. I honestly found it weird when people judge me based on my looks rather than what I advocate for but at the end of the day, I get to inspire someone.” (Mahal na nga kita, bro!)

Last year napasama sya sa Metro Manila Film Fest entry na Broken Heart’s Trip kung saan gumanap siyang bading. (Sana pala nag-audition akong partner mo!) “I am ok with gay roles. For as long as I see the script and I am comfortable with it. It’s ok.” (Dami kong scripts sa bahay!)

Nasa isang long distance relationship ngayon ang 27 anyos na Business Management and Marketing graduate. Nasa America ang kanyang Japanese girlfriend na palagi raw nyang kinukonsulta lalo na kung maselan ang mga roles na nakukuha nya. (Ay may kaagaw pala ako! Mukha rin akong Japanese, bro!)

“I have to discuss with my partner. What the role is. What we have to do. If we are comfortable with it, then I will do it. And of course, it all depends on the talent fee. “Pagbabahagi ni Tyler. (Ay sendan na agad ng gcash!)

Hindi rin daw sya basta-basta pumapayag sa mga hubaran. “It’s very personal to me. So I’d have that between me and my partner rather than show it to the whole world for entertainment. (I can be your partner, bro!)

Wala pang isang taon sa bansa si Tyler. Kaya kinakarir nyang matutunan ang mag-tagalog. “My mom was trying to teach me at an early age but since I was in an English only school, it was hard for me to differentiate. But I know some words like opo, walang anuman, salamat po. Hindi ko alam. I will try to learn more. “(Magaling ako magturo. Lock-in sessions nga lang ito!)

Ang pagsabak daw ni Tyler sa entertainment industry ay isang pangarap hindi lang para sa kanyang sarili pero para rin sa kanyang pamilya. (Feeling ko part ka na ng family ko, bro!)
