Island of dreams, eeksena sa international award giving body
Patuloy ang pagkilala sa mga Pinoy actors and directors sa international award-giving bodies.
Nito lang ay nakatanggap ng nominations mula sa Content Asia Awards ang 8-part drama anthology ni Erik Matti na Island of Dreams na ginawa niya para sa HBO Asia Originals series na Food Lore. Nakatanggap ito ng nomination for best director for Matti at best actress para kay Angeli Bayani.

Makakalaban ni Matti sa kanyang category na Best Director of a Scripted TV Programme ay sina Emil Heradi (Pretty Little Liars), Imri Nasution (Kopitiam: Double Shot), Ler Jiyuan (Invisible Stories), and TJ Lee (The Bridge).
Samantalang si Bayani naman ay makakatunggali sa Best Female Lead in a TV Programme ay sina Nittha Jirayungyurn in My Husband in Law (Thailand); Rasika Dugal in Out of Love Season 1 (India); Siti Saleha in Black, and Yeo Yann Yann in Invisible Stories.
Ang Philippines episode na Island of Dreams ay tungkol sa isang poor family at nagtatrabaho si Nieves (Angeli Bayani)) para sa kanyang mayaman na amo (Joey Marquez) na tinuturuan siyang magluto.
Mapapanood ang Food Lore series on HBO GO.

Diego maayos na ang komunikasyon kay Cesar
Sa halos dalawang taong pagpahinga ni Diego Loyzaga sa showbiz, marami raw siyang na-miss at natutunan sa buhay. Isa na rito ay ang makipag-ayos sa kanyang ama na si Cesar Montano.
Though hindi na masyadong nagkuwento si Diego tungkol sa pagkakaayos nila ni Cesar, ang importante raw ay may maayos na silang komunikasyon at handa na ulit siyang magbalik-trabaho.
Ang ikinatutuwa raw ni Diego ay hindi nawala ang kanyang supporters na kung tawagin ay Diegsters. Kahit na raw matagal siyang nawala, lagi raw niyang nararamdaman ang suporta ng kanyang fans.

Fuller actress at asawang nandaya para sa anak, hinatulan na
Sinentensyahan ng federal judge ang Fuller House actress na si Lori Loughlin ng dalawang buwan na pagkakakulong dahil sa pagkakasangkot nito, kasama ang kanyang mister na si Mossimo Giunnulli, sa “conspiring to pay a half-million-dollar bribe to get her daughters into the University of Southern California as fake rowing recruits.”
Limang buwan naman na pagkakakulong ang pinataw sa kanyang mister na si Giunnulli.
Ayon sa Boston Federal District Judge Nathaniel Groton via Zoom: “Here you are, an admired, successful professional actor with a long-lasting marriage. You have two apparently healthy, resilient children, more money than you could possibly need, a beautiful home in sunny, southern California. A fairytale life. Yet you stand before me a convicted felon. And for what? For the inexplicable desire to grab even more. We can only hope that you will spent the rest of your charmed life, as you have said you will, making amends to the system you have harmed.”
Nag-apologize ang aktres sa maling ginawa niya para sa kanyang mga anak.
“I’ve made an awful decision. I went along with a plan to give my daughters an unfair advantage in the college-admissions process, and in doing so, I ignored my intuition and allowed myself to be swayed from my moral compass. While I wish I could go back and do things differently, I can only take responsibility and move forward. I have great faith in God, and I believe in redemption, and I will do everything in my power to redeem myself and use this experience as a catalyst to do good. Your honor, I am truly, profoundly and deeply sorry. I am ready to face the consequences and make amends.”
Bukod sa two months jail time, Louglin will serve two years of supervised release and perform 100 hours of community service and pay a fine of $150,000. Ang kanyang mister ay binigyan ng 250 hours community service and $250,000 fine. Both must surrender to the US Bureau of Prisons before 2 p.m. on November 19.
