Natuto ng leksyon

TV5 was the first to have thrown an early Christmas treat for the entertainment press (November 12). Pero sa hanay ng mga artista ay una naman si Dingdong Dantes nitong Sabado ng gabi at Mother Lily’s Century Imperial Suites, the same venue where the Gutierrez family led by Annabelle Rama held its party for the press last year.

Kung matatandaan, naging isyu noon ang di-naiwasang pagkukumpara sa respective parties nina Richard at Dingdong, blame it on the person-in-charge of the latter’s event.

It appears, however, that Dingdong’s camp has learned its lessons, thanks to the actor’s manager Perry Lansigan who is as big as his heart. Mabuti naman at hindi na ‘yon pinakialaman pa by any single staff from the GMA CorpCom, but the likes of Lolit Solis, Gorgy Rula and Mel Navarro.

Dingdong, was unusually early at the party whose registration at the entrance was just as unusually empty. ‘Ika nga, it defied tradition, even the opening salvo.

Patung-patong ang mga raffle prizes in one space of the function room, all major, I must say. On the side ay may mga trivia questions pa with a concept related to Dingdong’s long years in showbiz.

Sa dami at laki nga ng mga papremyo, hindi na magkandaugaga ang karamihan sa mga press. Sa kaso na lang ng kaibigang Tito Gorgy, he had to unload his van ng mga ipinangako niyang giveaways sa akin for my barangay project this Christmas, mga produkto ‘yon ng Aficionado by Joel Cruz, that I requested even without a formal letter in support of my D.R.E.A.M.’s (Development Through a Revitalized Educational Agenda Movement) Bonggang-bonggang Parol sa Basura in Pasay City.

Hindi na raw kasya sa kanyang sasakyan ang malalaking napanalunan nila ng kanyang housemate na si Jerry Olea, that my giveaways through the courtesy of Joel Cruz had to be brought back to his house. Ikalawang beses ko na kasing kinalampag si Tito Gorgy for some little help, and he has always been very supportive. In much the same way, kaya nga siguro Dingdong’s blessings multiply because he has both sense of gratitude and appreciation.

Unlike one entity that I know that would rather take than give. Isaksak n’yo sa baga n’yo ang grasyang babawiin din naman sa inyo!
